Are there Legitimate "AT Home Businesses"?

To answer this question very simply put. YES! Although there are legitimate at home business out there, you do have to be carefull. First of all it is good to find out the stability of the company. How long have they been in business? How strong is the company? Do they owe a large amount of debt?

The reason for these questions are that one of the perks of working from home is to be recession proof. Or at least to avoid becoming "corporate road kill". The next thing you want to look at is the product. Is the product strong and does it sell itself?

You want to be able to work with a product that is needed by the consumer. The next thing to look at is the compensation plan. What all does it involve, can you start getting paid right away? Is it an mlm scheme that you won't get paid until you sign up so many people. The next very important aspect to look at is the training and support.

I have found that in any business if there is poor or no training and support you and your business will not go far. The last thing I want to cover is the illusion that is given out there today that you can start an at home business with No money!

Now let's think about that. Is anyone able to do anything these days without there being an investment involved? Whether it is a business, a home, our children, our marriage etc. No matter what people are advertising out there you need to be aware there is at some point in time going to be an investment. Now again you need to be carefull with who the company or individual is and the amount of investment.

These so called businesses that are free usually have hidden costs. I would rather know upfront the initial investment and what I am getting in return then to not know and get into a business that down the road requires alot of money and then you feel like it is too late to back out because of time and effort already spent.
